Karen Jung, author of Healthier Eating and Living with Cancer has continued to write on the topic of diet and cancer. She explains,

The book, Healthier Eating and Living with Cancer continues to gain more recognition by medical professionals. The book is now located in the patient resource library at Ovarian Cancer Canada in Vancouver and has been added to the recommended reading list of the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance in Washington, DC.

Juvie, Inside Canada's Youth Jails

Gordon Cruse, author of Juvie, Inside Canada’s Youth Jails, is putting his talents as a former radio announcer to use as he is featured in an interview on CBC Saskatchewan. Gordon’s interview will air live on Monday July 5th at 12:15 pm on CBK 540 AM radio during the noon show with Garth province wide! As the featured guest, his portion of the show should run till 1:00.

A signing will be hosted by McNally-Robinson at 7:30 pm in their bookstore on 8th St. east in Saskatoon.

Chris Nowlin has been busy giving interviews on CBC in Calgary. The Wild Rose program and The Homestretch have both interviewed Chris about his novel, To See The Sky. Chris is originally from Alberta, but now makes his home in Vancouver, where most of his novel takes place.

This followed an exciting tour of the Pacific Northwest where he appeared at Village Books in Bellingham and at Third Place Books in Seattle (Lake Forest Park) in February of 2010.

Great walks of Vancouver 2nd Edition Available

Charles Clapham has introduced many urban dwellers to the art of finding and walking on the many natural trails that adjoin the urban areas of Vancouver. With the 2nd edition of Great Walks of Vancouver, he expands the many suggested walks to include Squamish and Whistler areas.

As Charles explains in his introduction to the book,

If you think you know Vancouver by travelling through it by automobile, you will not recognize the city that you learn by exploring on foot.
Metro Vancouver is fortunate in being blessed with an abundance of walking routes. You can link parks, dikes, ravines, trails and quiet roads to walk from almost any point in Vancouver to any other (there are a few difficult places to reach but not many). Great Walks of Vancouver describes a 500-km network of trails that lets you explore the whole area . . .

A strong community of walkers use Clapham’s books to plan their urban adventures. Now, to assist in giving walkers updated information and guidance regarding temporary or permanent changes to the published walks, Charles has created a website.
