A Very Strange Christmas!

A Very Strange Christmas!

Anton Von Stefan

A charming little Christmas tale which takes place at the height of the Great Depression, on Christmas Eve 1932. A loner, penniless and hungry, is out on the prowl to alleviate his dire situation while a winter snowstorm is settling in for the night. Magical things begin to take place as he is about to pounce on his chosen victim which show him glimpses of better times, a time when his parents were still alive. As the action moves from one scene to the next, he is continuously hindered in accomplishing his ill deed until fate places him in a situation where he accidentally ends up helping another human.

As fortune has suddenly smiled upon him, he longs for a hot meal and an evening of drink before the bars close on that Christmas Eve. Yet, other enchanting events occur which bring the loner to a point where he realizes he has the opportunity to help one of his intended victims before the evening ends. With that decision made, he finds happiness and, in the years ahead, everyone’s life is transformed for the better.

Reviews / Testimonials:

The tale within this book has the cosy fireside feeling of all great storytelling coupled with the magic of Christmas Past.
I especially liked the “come closer” cadence of the narrator, the story telling within the storytelling.

The tale affirms a very cold “outside” but it’s warm “in here” allure.
This story could be read or recited in an hour being the perfect catalyst for gathering a group of friends and family then regaling them with the old fashioned art of live oral story telling.

Thanks for the magic
Love

“I loved this charming little Christmas story. It immediately draws the reader’s attention in, starting with a desperate opening scene, and captures the mind’s eye with colourfully painted characters and scenery. I enjoyed the book from the beginning to the end.”
